Over four decades, Chris has built his career growing grass at some of Texas’ finest golf courses.
Today he is Superintendent at Buffalo Creek Golf Club, the course he opened as founding superintendent in 1992, overseeing the same warm-season grasses that grow in Rockwall front yards. Rather Green Turf Care brings the same science to Bermuda, zoysia and St. Augustine lawns throughout Rockwall and surrounding areas.
Who you’ll work with. Chris works alongside Turf Care Specialist Steve Huffman, with Colleen Rather handling scheduling and client care as Rather Green Turf Care’s administrator.

Treatments safe for your pets
Lawns are shared spaces. Kids play on them. Dogs roll in them. Every product I use is applied at label rates and stays in the lawn. Once an application has dried, typically 1 to 2 hours, sooner in dry weather, the lawn is safe to walk, play on, or nap on.
