The Annual Program is Rather Green’s flagship service. Every application, pre-emergent, fertilization, weed control, fire ant, grub, and insect, is sequenced across the calendar and timed to North Texas soil temperatures, not dates on a generic chart.
Most programs in the Rockwall area run the same four applications on every yard. Rather Green Turf Care delivers a proven program built for our region’s soil and grass types, with every lawn getting a fresh assessment for mowing, watering, irrigation, sun and shade, and any spot-treatment needs. That’s the difference between “green” and “golf-course green.”

Annual Program clients get a baseline soil test to confirm the region’s typical nutrient profile and flag anything unusual. The test informs program adjustments where needed.

Essential — 6 Treatments
Every 2 months
Our foundational plan. Six visits across the year, paced every two months. Includes preemergent and post-emergent weed control, fertilizer, spot weed treatment sweeps, and a moisture and mowing evaluation at each visit.
Advanced — 8 Treatments
Every 6 weeks
Everything in Essential plus 2 additional fertilizer treatments and 2 additional spot-treatment / evaluation visits. Eight visits paced every six weeks — the right cadence for lawns that need more hands-on attention through the growing season.
Premium — 10 Treatments
Most frequent visits
Everything in Advanced plus 2 more fertilizer treatments and 2 more spot-treatment / evaluation visits. Ten visits across the year — our most attentive plan, ideal for showcase lawns and properties where you want eyes on the turf as often as possible.

Not every lawn needs the same support. These come à la carte. I’ll flag them if I see something on a visit.
Extra fertilizer
For lawns showing nutrient deficiency a soil test confirms. Or for grass types that need a heavier feeding window than the standard schedule covers.
Lawn disease treatment
Brown patch, take-all root rot, dollar spot, gray leaf spot, all matched to the specific pathogen and your grass type, applied when symptoms appear.
Soil amendments
pH correction, gypsum for compacted clay, compost top-dressing. Long-term fixes for soil chemistry. The foundation everything else stands on.
Tree & shrub treatment
Nutrient and pest support for ornamentals, separate from the lawn program. Pricing by-the-treatment, no contract.

How is the Annual Program different from a generic 4-step?
A 4-step program applies the same products on the same dates to every lawn. The Annual Program starts with a soil test, identifies your grass, and sequences 7–8 applications around your lawn’s actual needs.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Every Rather Green service is month-to-month. Cancel anytime, we stay because you want us to.
What does the Annual Program cost?
It depends on your specific lawn. Lot size, current turf health, grass type, soil conditions, and any special issues like fire ants, brown patch, or heavy weed pressure all factor in.
